Long story short I am pulling the engine out of my 97 Z71 to change the cracked block, swapping everything into another 350 vortec block with new rings/bearings/gaskets, my question is, should I keep the old cam or while I have it apart put an aftermarket cam in it? engine will be mostly stock, daily driver truck, stock or blackbear tuned pcm, just looking for maybe more low end torque and maybe better fuel economy, if it is worth it to change the cam while I have it apart or just keep the stock cam and just get a blackbear tune(which I am going to do anyway but especially if I put a new cam in).
